How to Get Your Card

Eligibility:
Full-time students residing in Canada who are at least 12 years of age and attend a recognized secondary or post-secondary institution.

Validity:
The 2012 ISIC is valid from Sep1, 2011 – Dec 31, 2012. Apply early in the card year for maximum value!

Where Do I Get an ISIC? 

• @ a Travel CUTS office: quick, in-person and often done on the spot!
• By Mail: It's easy, but please allow 3 weeks for processing.
• CFS member school student union: in-person and it's free. For a list of CFS Students' Unions whose members are eligible, click here.

To obtain an ISIC you will need to provide: 

1. A completed ISIC application. Click here to download the pdf. 
2. A photograph of yourself (head shot) that measures 1.25" x 1.5" (30 x 36mm) and is printed on photo-quality paper.
3. Proof of full-time student status (as defined by your educational institution) and age.
   › A photocopy of your student card (with picture) clearly indicating full-time student status for the current school year and a photocopy of another government-issued picture ID (i.e. driver's license) that clearly indicates date of birth; OR
   › A letter from your school registrar bearing the seal of the institution and confirming full-time student status for the current school year and a photocopy of another government-issued picture ID (i.e. driver's license) that clearly indicates date of birth; OR
   › A signed and sealed School Declaration as outlined on the ISIC application and a photocopy of another government-issued picture ID (i.e. driver's license) that clearly indicates date of birth.
4. $20 plus an additional $1.50 for postage and handling if ordering by mail. Students attending a CFS member school are entitled their ISIC free of charge as a benefit of membership (just send $1.50 for postage and handling if ordering by mail).
