  Job Title:  Experienced Manager Positions available
Locations:
McMaster University (Travel CUTS), Hamilton Adventure Travel Company, London Merit Travel office, London University of Manitoba, Winnipeg University of Montreal

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position will appeal to a high-energy individual with well-developed skills and proven track record. Responsibilities of the Branch Manager include tracking sales, recruitment, coaching, training and performance management of staff. This role drives business development and marketing of the shop -  this includes selling, understanding the local market, identifying opportunities and targeting local markets in campaigns or communications. Managers are responsible for efficiencies in branch operations and financial performance of the office. They identify changes that can be made to improve office performance and are responsible for implementing these strategies.

JOB & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 2 years management of a retail travel shop preferred
  • Strong leadership and relationship development skills
  • Proven people management skills
  • Demonstrate the ability to communicate clearly in both formal and informal settings
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Strong problem solving and decision making skills
  • Experienced with budgeting and forecasting

Position: Leisure Consultant
Location: All offices across Canada
Hours:  Full Time (Saturday shift during peak season)

OVERALL ACCOUNTABILITY: To build and develop relationships while delivering flawless customer service to new and current clients, enquiring about and/or booking travel.

  • Current established client base (preferred)
  • Enthusiastic sales driven team player
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task within a travel environment
  • Must be organized, accurate and have great attention for detail
  • Possess good initiative and confidence
  • Able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment
  • Knowledge of Amadeus an asset

Position: Onsite Corporate Consultant
Location: Seneca College

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:  This individual will primarily be part of the MeritBiz Toronto Corporate Team however, they will also be the key communicator for Seneca College Corporate walk in Customers. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with current or previous corporate travel experience who wishes to expand their knowledge and grow within Merit.

This position reports directly to the Director, Corporate Operations.

Hours: Rotating shift work required including weekends

  • Bilingual in French and English
  • Knowledge of Amadeus an asset
  • Minimum 1 year recent working experience as a travel consultant
